The "Exit" of Cosmos Sport SA

Experiencing the acquisition of Cosmos Sport SA, the leading Omnichannel Sports Fashion retailer in Greece, by the $8 billiion giant JD Sports was a defining moment in my career. For five years, I was "in the core" of the leadership team that drove this transformative project for the retail industry, both as Group Ecommerce Manager and as part of an external agency partner before joining Cosmos Sport. Witnessing the successful culmination of such a strategic and aggressive business move was incredibly inspiring and full of lessons that you (usually) only experience once. The final figures speak of 73€ million euros for the 80% of the shares.

The Case Study of Public Group

I'm deeply honored to be part of Public Group's transformation, including sustainable and aggressive growth, the creation of an ecosystem of innovative scale-ups around its flagship omnichannel retail business and the incredible customer experience for its customers. Contributing to this exciting project, alongside such an experienced and talented team, is far more than just a professional aspiration. My vision is to play a key role in propelling Public Group's digital presence and footprint, solidifying its position as a leader in digital and technical maturity among Balkan retailers. Giving Back to Community

Throughout my digital marketing career, spanning nearly a decade, I've been passionate about empowering the Greek digital marketing and ecommerce community. This commitment has manifested in two media blogs, an audio podcast, and a robust presence across online platforms like Medium and LinkedIn. My purpose is to create valuable, educational content that fosters growth within the community. This journey has been incredibly fulfilling. Supervise a team of 23 and report to the CEO. Oversee performance and digital marketing channels, Web Content, Product Development, and CRM for Greece and Cyprus. Undertake social media management, email/SMS marketing, PPC, SEO, display, and affiliate advertising. Track website activities and devise strategies to ensure achievement of KPIs, increase customer retention, and improve site content. Implement data/reporting sources and web analytics tools to boost customer experience and web presence. Generate business metric reports for online platforms to reach objectives and detail enhancements. Collaborate with the marketing team to improve service quality and traffic acquisition. Conduct research to stay updated on new trends and technologies. Cosmos Sport SA was acquired by JD Sports in October 2021.

• Improved productivity, and efficiency by 80% by restructuring e-commerce departments, & processes.
• Contributed to enhanced eCommerce sales by +19.5% YoY in 2021 and +59% YoY in 2020.
• Boosted total website ROAS by 40%, total website traffic by 45%, and conversion rate by 20%.
• Managed a budget of more than €4M for OPEX & CAPEX.

SLEED (January 2018 – November 2019)

Directed a team of two and reported to Digital Marketing Manager. Executed PPC campaigns on various platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Oversaw clients’ paid media accounts. Coordinated client inquiries and requests. Managed campaign bidding, optimizing, testing, and adjusting. Rolled out new campaigns and promotions. Generated reports utilizing data from web analytics tools. Presented findings to clients and company management to illustrate effective return on advertising spend. Outlined and employed PPC campaigns on several networks and composed and analyzed reports. Implemented strategies to optimize conversion rates and research relevant keywords. Choosing Optimal Omnichannel Coupon Redeeming Options in Multiple Channel Settings

This article examines omnichannel redemption options when issuing digital coupons over social media. It investigates which channels or combinations of them provide optimal performance in terms of service-quality perception, customer satisfaction, and revenue. For that purpose, it compares three omnichannel redeeming options employing a between-participant quasi-experimental design that utilizes the primary data of a sporting goods retailer in Greece and a questionnaire as a data-collection instrument to investigate cause and effect relationships. Those three omnichannel redeeming options are analyzed in two pairwise comparisons: (a) multichannel (both online and offline) vs. offline-only (physical store), and (b) multichannel (both online and offline) vs. online-only (online store). Results reveal that while perceived service quality is essential to improve customer satisfaction, especially if satisfying the need for interaction with service employees, revenue performance depends only on the availability of multiple redemption options. Theoretical, practical, and research implications are thoroughly discussed at the end. [link]
